Diet Failure
Today, I purposefully ate a piece of toast. I broke the diet. I guess you could say I failed. I didn't accomplish what I set out to do. I made it halfway until life stepped in front of me and said,"Maybe later." I could give a hundred excuses as to why I didn't finish it out. I'm tempted to explain just how they are all very good excuses, but that's not really the point.
I guess the point is that sometimes you've got to admit defeat and move on with your life. Accomplishing goals is a part of life, but so are all of the failures. The losses come with the wins. This is just one fight that I picked at a wrong time. Finding special food was taking more than just my time and effort. It was creating extra work for those who already have plenty. Today, I looked at the schedule for the next few weeks with all of the guests and cooking and craziness, and chose easy over super health nut.
I'm sorry, health plan. I let you down. I guess now you know where my priorities are. I won't forget you. Someday. when my eating habits affect less people, I will pick you back up again. So long, for now. And thanks for 40 days of success!
