Sweater Weather
Get out your sweaters, here comes fall! After spending a wonderful afternoon trying out different fallish outfits, I finally decided on a few of my favs to post for you guys.
Boots and dresses can often feel too girlish or charming. But, because I am definitely not all girly and charming, if you tone it down with grays and purples, and pair it with some sophisticated high-heeled boots, you'll get a whole new perspective.
Overalls, mmm-mmm! I love pink, and lace, and dresses. I laugh at everything and see the world in pinkish tint. But even I get tire of all of that after awhile. Overalls seem to be a good compromise. The high-waist cut gives it a vintage feel, while the flowy white shirt adds a little femininity to the outfit. The black, sturdy boots balance it all out nicely.
Classy meets Sassy. That's the title of the grand finale, y'all. Red lips, Audrey Hepburn neckline, and a skirt. But, what's that? Serious black boots? Black, black, and more black? Oh yes. Yes, yes,yes. Much as I'd like to be a princess all day everyday, I know it's not possible. 1) I can't sit still without spilling something for more than an hour at best, and 2) I honestly value comfort more than a princess wearing a flouffy gown can. So, I choose classic make-up and cuts of clothing, while opting for a practical material and shoe. Ta-da! I can sit prettily and run towards 'Adventure in the great, wide somewhere.' without changing clothes! That's what I call success.
